Limo Tokyo is an online chauffeur car booking platform that allows you to book private transportation in and around the Tokyo area in Japan.

Our business was established in 1950. We launched our chauffeur service in 1953 and Limo Tokyo was a recent project that we undertook in the late 2010’s. The website was overhauled in 2022 to its current state.

No. At the moment we only provide chauffeur services in the Tokyo area

No, we do not provide rentals. One of our professional drivers will bring you to your destination/s

Currently, we offer English and Japanese language support. This may change in the future.

Anyone over the age of 18 can book our services, anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult book on their behalf and accompany them on their journey.

No. We strictly provide ground transportation services. You can bring your own tour guide or create your own itinerary and let us know where you need to be, we will ensure to get you around according to your schedule.

Whilst we aim to provide the best service possible and try to accommodate customer requests as much as possible, our operations are restricted due to special laws in Japan. Tokyo is made up of 23 wards a list of these wards can be found below and your pick-up location or the drop-off location must be within one of these 23 wards. We are unable to accept bookings if both the pick-up location and the drop-off location is outside of Tokyo’s 23 wards. When you submit a transfer request and both of the locations are outside of 23 wards, we will cancel the booking and you will not be charged for it.

Yes, with intricate bookings such as these, we ask users to contact us via the contact us page or by submitting an enquiry form. This way you will be able to start an open conversation regarding your requirements.

We offer a chauffeur service which is a method of private transportation. You get your own driver to pick you up and drop you off.

We offer 4 types of transfers. These include Airport, Port, City and Package tour transfers.



Airport transfers include Haneda and Narita airports.



Port transfers include Yokohama and Tokyo ports.



City transfers are customisable journeys. You can choose more than one destination if you have more than one location you need to travel.



Package deal transfers include Hakone, Mount Fuji Fifth Station, Kamakura, Nikko, Tokyo 4 hours, Tokyo 8 hours and Gotemba.

You can create your own agenda for the day, select how many hours you would like your driver to be with you and the destinations you would like to visit. This is useful for business trips or tours of the city.

Yes. Limo Tokyo has both English-speaking drivers and staff. If you require an English-speaking driver, please complete the reservation form and tick the relevant check-box to make a request. Our staff will get back to you with the availability.

We will ask you for your pick-up time and location when you make a reservation. Our driver will be waiting for you at the time and location you have given us. We ask users to provide us with a contact number so that we are able to contact them in cases of emergency or problems with finding a safe place to park. In case of sudden traffic, or our driver fails to locate you, we will inform you by telephone call. We also ask that users contact us when they are unable to make it in time for their scheduled pick-up. Please be aware that delays may mean the vehicle is released and requested to return to the vehicle garage.

You are restricted to 1 vehicle per booking. However, if you require 2 or more vehicles, you will need to submit a request through the contact us page or submit an enquiry form with a note on number of vehicles required for your journey. Our support team will contact you to discuss your requirements. This also applies to larger orders for things like corporate events.

You will need to use this form when:



- You would like to book more than 2 vehicles at a time.



- You would like to hire our enquiry-only vehicles.



- You would like to customise your journey.



- You would like to give us precise instructions that pertain to your itinerary, such as specific locations you would like to stop at on the way to your final drop-off point.



- When booking a city transfer.

Enquiry-Only vehicles are vehicles that are only bookable via the enquiry form. Here are the current enquiry-only vehicles:

There are two methods, you can use our booking form or our enquiry form. You can access both forms from the homepage.



*Please note that you are required to register to make bookings on Limo Tokyo. Please register and become a member by visiting the login page. There is no registration or membership fee.

To book a transfer. Once you have completed the form and made the payment your reservation is automatically secured and you will be ready to enjoy to trip. The payment guarantees your transfer and the booking form is best used when you know what you need and you wish to make a quick reservation.

To make an enquiry about a transfer. When you submit an enquiry form, we do not charge you. A Limo Tokyo staff member will pick up your enquiry and contact you to work out exactly what your requirements are and then once you are happy, we will provide a payment link so that you can secure your reservation. The enquiry form is best used when you want to customise your journey and is perfect for business trips and city tours.

We will send you an e-mail confirmation of your reservation to the e-mail address provided during sign-up. You can also check your secured bookings in your account under ‘Future bookings’.

Reservations can be made 180 days prior to the date of service at the earliest. However, if you would like to make a reservation earlier than 180 days in advance, please reach us via our contact us page. We will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and advise you on the best course of action.

No. We only accept bookings 4 days in advance (If you book after 0:00 AM : 5 days in advance) of the service date. We wish to provide the best possible service every journey and we set a 48-hour rule to allow us to adequately prepare. For enquires this is increased to 4 days in advance (If you book after 0:00 AM : 5 days in advance) as we will need time to review your booking details and confirm the availability of the vehicle you have requested.

Fares are calculated based on several factors, including the duration of service, type of vehicle and choice of other options. These options include the vehicle subtype, whether you need an English-speaking driver and amenities such as bottled water. The duration of your trip will be calculated from the car office to your pick-up point and your final drop-off location back to the car office.  In cases where the actual service duration exceeds the duration calculated beforehand due to unaccounted for delays or spontaneous requests for extra time, users will receive a payment link to cover the difference via e-mail shortly after the date of service.



*Please be aware that failure to pay any additional incurred charges will block your account from being able to book any further journeys until the payment is settled.

Payment must be made by online using VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or JCB cards. We do not accept cash and other forms of payment.



In addition, we only accept payment in Japanese Yen. If you would like to use a payment method which uses currencies other than Japanese Yen, the foreign exchange rates adopted by your credit card company and any other relevant charges will apply. Please check with your bank before making a payment as we do not have any control over this.

When using the booking form on our website you are required to provide your payment details to pay and secure your reservation.



When using the enquiry form on our website you are not required to make a payment immediately. We will contact you to discuss any special requirements and then confirm the booking by sending you a payment link so that you may secure your reservation.

A payment link will be sent to you via e-mail after the completion of the service for any additional charges incurred during the service. You will need to click on the payment link in the e-mail, choose your payment method/fill out payment method details to complete your payment for the additional charges you incur.



 

No. You are only able to make a change to your booking once. If you need to make any further changes you will need to cancel your booking and submit a new one. Please be aware that you will not be eligible for a refund if your booking is cancelled after the booking start time.

When you make a change to a booking you have already paid for your booking fee may change. If there is any change to your booking fee, once you submit your changes you will be asked to pay the new fee and your original booking fee will be refunded to you. Your refund will be processed by a Limo Tokyo admin within 48 hours and the time the money takes to reach your account will depend on your payment method and our payment gateway. Please take this possible delay into account when your booking fee changes.

Yes. However, no changes are possible within 2 days of the service start date. You can make changes more than 2 days in advance of the service start date and only for reservations that are not reserved with ‘enquiry-only’ vehicles. If you would like to change bookings reserved with ‘enquiry-only’ vehicles, you will need to cancel the booking first and submit another enquiry form with your new requirements.

From the “Contact Us” page in the header menu, select “Booking Query” from “Subject” and send us your inquiry.



*Please be aware that any changes made may result in an increase or decrease in price. Your previous booking fee will be refunded to you and you will be required to pay the new booking fee.

Yes, however, please be aware of cancellation fees. We ask for as much notice as possible to allow for changes to the system to be made and the driver to be notified. For full details, please read our cancellation policy found within the Terms of Use. Here are the cancellation fees summarised:



Cancel/no show after the start date/time of your booking - No refund. 



Cancel on the same day as your booking - 50% refund.



Cancel 1 day before start date - 60% refund. 



Cancel 2 days before start date - Full refund.

  • From 10 days to 8 days before the start of the operation, 20% of the travel price.
  • From 7 days to 2 days before the start of the operation, 30% of the travel price.
  • The day before the start of the operation, 40% of the travel price.
  • When canceling on the day of travel start, 50% of the travel price.
  • Cancellation after the start of the trip or non-contact non-participation, 100% of the travel price.

To cancel your booking, sign in to your account and go to ‘My Reservations’ in your profile, select the reservation’s ‘Show’ you wish to cancel and click Cancel. If the cancel button is not available, it means it is too late to cancel and you will need to contact us using our contact us form on our website.



*Please note that when cancellations are made, the booking will be deleted completely and you will have to go through the appropriate form once more from the beginning to make a new booking.

Smoking is not permitted. Please use the designated smoking zones in Japan to smoke if you need to.
